What are the specifications of the mask?
Magnox mask is made from polyester and polyamide.
The fabric density is of less than 5 microns, small enough to block the entrance to most micro-organisms.

Will the mask prevent infection by COVID-19 (CoronaVirus )?
When humans breathe, talk, sing, cough or sneeze, the emitted respiratory droplets mix in the surrounding air and form an aerosol. Because larger droplets quickly fall to the ground, respiratory aerosols are often described as being made up of smaller droplets that are of 5 microns or less,.
If the person is infected, the aerosol can carry live coronavirus .
Face coverings and masks are therefore Critical to reduce the risk of airborne exposure. The advantage of Magnox mask is that it serve a threefold purpose:
· First, they filter the air expelled by an individual, capturing respiratory droplets and thereby reducing the exposure risk for others. This is particularly important as they are most effective at capturing larger droplets that are more likely to have larger quantities of viruses encapsulated within them. This prevents the larger droplets from directly affecting someone, or evaporating down to a smaller size and circulating in the air.
· Second, they also reduce the speed of the puff of air that is produced when sneezing, coughing or talking. Decreasing the velocity of the expelled air reduces the distance that droplets are initially transported into the person’s surroundings.
· Third, the unique coating of Magnox Ion Technology is antiviral and antimicrobial, therefore, viruses such as Covid-19 and bacteria that are carried by aerosol and attach to the mask, encounter the unique protective film that neutralizes them, reducing the chance of infection with the virus.
How long can the mask be used?
When we developed Magnox mask we tested the durability of the magnesium coating.
The masks have been washed 10 times. The coating was then tested and found to remain in perfect condition. The mask may withstand much more washing, however, in our opinion; it is worth changing the mask after 3 months of use
Can the mask be used by more than one person?
No, the mask is personal and should not be transferred from one person to another.
